Care Guide
Our products are made of solid wood in our family workshop in Bohemia, shaped and finished by hand. Wood is a living material: grain, tone and small irregularities differ from product to product, and the colour deepens slightly with time.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Dust with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.
- Wipe spills as they happen; water left standing marks the finish.
- Keep away from radiators and direct, prolonged sunlight.
- Avoid harsh cleaners and scrub sponges — for cleaning use just soap and water.
Dents and scratches
- Wood furniture that is lived with eventually carries a dent or a few scratches over time; they cannot be steamed out or sanded at home, as our products carry a tinted finish.
Rings and marks
- A pale ring from a warm cup or wet glass usually sits in the finish. Let it dry fully; it often fades on its own.
- Colored spills such as wine, coffee, or ink should simply be wiped away as they happen; they only become permanent when left to sit.
Floors
- Felt pads come included with every product package, to protect both the floor and the product, and let it move without complaint. Replace them when they wear thin, and lift the product rather than drag it, especially on stone and tile.
Indoor use
- Our products are designed for indoor use only, and are not made to withstand outdoor weather or prolonged exposure to moisture.
